Dr. Feldenkrais sometimes worked in positions that challenged his students sense of physical balance and stability. The way he worked evoked a profoundly healthful response, without making the person he was working with feel insecure or threatened. Once, during a late-night conversation in Tel Aviv, David Zemach-Bersin and Mark Reese asked Dr. Feldenkrais about this. Feldenkrais said, "I create instability because I understand how the laws of nature work to seek equilibrium.”

In recent years, Feldenkrais Trainers David Zemach-Bersin and Raz Ori have studied this exciting subject both independently, and together. In this special online training, they plan to share their discoveries and new ways of conveying meaningful information by creating instability. You will learn how to use non-habitual situations which perturb balance to provoke attention and awareness, stimulating the ability of the nervous system to learn.

In addition to learning how to use these dynamics in Awareness Through Movement, (including in your online Feldenkrais work), we will view video examples of Dr. Feldenkrais using these principals in his Functional Integration practice, and David and Raz will contribute live online demonstrations.

Open to Feldenkrais practitioners, plus 3&4 year trainees
