Experience your body's intelligence in action!
"I’m looking forward to teaching this workshop! I'll be sharing a set of Feldenkrais lessons that focus on one of Dr. Feldenkrais' most brilliant insights about human movement, learning, and neuromuscular organization. These are some of the most profound and transformative Feldenkrais lessons I have ever experienced. They will engage your brain at its core, foundational level and improve the way your nervous system organizes and coordinates itself. I hope that you can join me!"
~ David
Moshe Feldenkrais developed a revolutionary method that combines movement and attention to communicate with our brain's learning centers. Known as the Feldenkrais Method, this approach is neurologically sophisticated, yet highly accessible.
Feldenkrais' discoveries are contributing to many fields today, including education, rehabilitation, child development, sports, and the arts, and transforming the way we understand human learning, difficulties, and healing. Dr. Norman Doidge described Feldenkrais as one of the world's first 'neuroplasticians'- a pioneer whose work has made it possible for us to access our 'neuroplasticity,' -our brain's flexible learning capacity- to bring about learning and change, any time we like.
Drawing upon ten years of study with Dr. Feldenkrais and five decades practicing and teaching the Feldenkrais Method, David Zemach-Bersin is looking forward to presenting a set of powerful lessons for you; lessons that he considers to be among the most important of the over 1,000 that Feldenkrais created.
This two-day workshop will work with the deepest levels of your neuromuscular organization. It will involve what Feldenkrais referred to as "the fundamental properties of movement"—the deeply rooted patterns upon which all of our movement depends. As you explore these special Feldenkrais lessons with David's expert guidance, essential neuromuscular connections will be renewed. You will experience your body's intelligence in action and notice improvements throughout your entire system, including in your posture, coordination, and capacity for free, comfortable movement.
You may find yourself enjoying:
- Improved sensory acuity
- Better neuro-muscular organization
- Freedom from habitual patterns
- Improved coordination
- Improved posture
- Better breathing
- Improved mobility
- Improved flexibility
- Greater understanding of muscular dynamics
- Greater ability to reduce stress, tension, and anxiety
- Improved mood and sense of well-being
"After the lessons, I went for a walk and discovered more movement in my chest, sternum, and spine."
