Restorative Rhythms

This program of nine Feldenkrais lessons with David Zemach-Bersin uses rhythmic dynamics to facilitate comfort and ease in all of your movements.

Available On-Demand

Our life is fundamentally rhythmic. We are organized by external rhythms such as/including/ day and night, the tides, and the changing of seasons, and by internal rhythms such as our heartbeat, breathing, circulation, and movement patterns.

This set of Feldenkrais lessons works with our natural rhythms, using rocking, oscillating, alternating, and rolling movements to improve our musculoskeletal and neurological organization. Use these lessons to improve your flexibility, posture, and comfort in movement, and to reduce pain and discomfort, stress and anxiety, and bring your nervous system into a relaxed and restorative state.

"I found this course to be different from all other Feldenkrais courses I've taken. I have never experienced the flow of energy in my body so vividly. It is a new and very lively experience. I liked this course enormously."

-Luba

Our arms play an important role in our engagement with the world; in our activity level, our balance, our dexterity, and our ability to walk freely. However, many of us spend hours a day sitting, typing, and looking at screens. Using our arms in a limited and restricted way causes them to become tense and strained.

What to Expect

This series of gentle, guided Feldenkrais lessons will bring greater health to your arms by improving their vital neuromuscular connections to your back, shoulders, and ribs. You will learn how to relieve tension and regain the ability to move your arms freely, with less effort and more pleasure. Better coordination of your arms and shoulders will help to improve your sense of equilibrium, confidence, agility, and mobility.

Feldenkrais lessons are easy and safe. They use slow, comfortable movement combined with your attention to communicate valuable neurological information between your brain and body.

Program includes:

• Six Feldenkrais lessons
• Two Q&A sessions
• A set of intervention exercises to use throughout the day
• Information to help you adapt the lessons to alternative positions
• Lifetime access to recordings and option to download
