Watch David discussing this series:
Gravity exerts a constant downward force on us, and interacts with our skeleton and postural habits in ways that contribute to the compression of the discs between our vertebrae, and a gradual shortening of our spine. This can cause us to lose flexibility and ease and range of movement. When the discs between our vertebrae are too compressed, they are more vulnerable to injury, and nerves are more likely to become irritated.
"I was measured meticulously by my retired physician, who said that I am a 1/4 of an inch taller! He said it was not possible. I feel taller and better about myself. I am 75 and determined to continue with this program often."
