Unlock mobility in your arms, shoulders, and chest! Join Feldenkrais Teacher Raz Ori for a series of lessons designed to help you restore the comfort, flexibility, coordination, and strength of your arms and upper body.
Our arms are capable of reaching, lifting, pulling, pushing, turning, and carrying, with both strength and sensitivity. They play an important role in our engagement in the world, in our balance, and in the ease of our walking. They also enable the fine motor control of our fingers and hands, which we use continuously and depend upon.
However, many of us use our arms in a limited way. For example, we might spend many hours a day sitting, typing, and looking at screens. With their use so constrained and restricted, our arms become tense and strained. Tension develops in our neck and shoulders, and our arms feel less flexible and less comfortable. We notice a shortening in our chest, restricted movement in our shoulders, and chronic tension in the muscles of our neck and upper back.
This series of gentle, guided Feldenkrais lessons will bring greater health to your arms by improving their vital neuromuscular connections to your shoulders, spine, and ribs. You will learn how to relieve tension in your arms and shoulders and regain the ability to move your arms freely, with less effort and more pleasure. You'll discover how freeing your arms can reduce strain in your lower back and pelvis, support your balance, and make walking more enjoyable. And, you'll find that having better coordination of your shoulders and arms can also improve your sense of equilibrium, confidence, and agility.
Whether you have limited mobility, ongoing discomfort, or simply a desire to move with greater freedom, comfort, and ease, you're invited to join this series with Raz Ori.
The lessons in this series may help you to:
- Increase the range of motion of your arms and shoulders.
- Increase sensations of ease and comfort in your arms.
- Improve your coordination for reaching, lifting, and carrying.

"I'm grateful for the friendly way you lead us towards movement, health, and life itself. I appreciate the way you encourage us to focus on the body's functions that work well rather than struggling to find instant solutions. And the way you evoke or show us how to listen to internal and ancient resonances, how to accept the expression of the body as a whole in the present moment and, thus, how to evolve towards freedom and peace in between groundedness and ease."
-Sabine Höher
