Better Breathing Through Exhalation

“Breathing is our most influential and continual muscular action. If you improve your breathing, other aspects of your health and comfort will also improve. In this series, we will use breathing to improve movement, and movement to improve breathing!”
-David Zemach-Bersin
This series with David Zemach-Bersin is an opportunity to make dramatic improvements in the way you breathe. Over the course of five weeks, (including the introductory class) you will learn how to activate the powerful breath-brain connection, experience different ways of breathing, debunk a few myths, and discover how you can use your breathing to promote better health throughout your whole self.
Because our breathing reflects the state of our nervous system and every change in our activity and emotions, and because the way we breathe affects our cell health, cognition, blood pressure, posture, and movement, one of the most beneficial things we can do is to develop better breathing habits.
Rather than imposing rules about ‘correct’ breathing, the Feldenkrais lessons featured in this class will gently remind your brain that some ways of breathing are more efficient and comfortable than others. Join us to learn how your breathing can be used to regulate your nervous system, improve your posture and bring you into a neurologically harmonious, healing state.

Benefits may include:

  • New tools to help you maintain a calm, restorative state
  • Improved breathing habits
  • Improved cell and immune-system health
  • Increased energy
  • Lower blood pressure
  • Better digestion
  • Support for healthy posture and movement
Subtle and soothing to my nervous system, David Zemach Bersin's classes are delivered over zoom in a very personable genteel manner. This opens more doors for opening my awareness of my body's movements and healing requirements. I have been absolutely blown away by how after very few lessons my healing improves.
