We are delighted to announce a new live online series with Raz Ori, Strength & Resilience: A Feldenkrais Approach.
It is a common assumption that if we want to develop our strength, we have to engage in vigorous exercise and accept that the process will involve extreme muscular effort and pushing through strain, fatigue, and probably some pain. But physical exertion isn't an effective option for everyone. Luckily, there's another way to develop strength and resilience.
Strength isn't just a matter of muscle. It also depends on how your brain organizes movement, how the different parts of your body cooperate, and how efficiently you use yourself. With poor coordination, our muscular effort tends to be excessive and exhausting. With good coordination, it becomes more appropriate, specific, and effective — so that everyday actions require less energy and feel more stable and secure.
In this series with Feldenkrais Trainer Raz Ori, you'll experience your musculoskeletal system's innate capacity for strength and build resilience by improving how your whole self works together. Instead of repetitive exercises targeting muscles in isolation, you'll learn integrated movements that stimulate your brain and nervous system to expand your range of coordination and self-use.
Feldenkrais lessons can help you to discover more effective ways of organizing movement. As your awareness grows, your movements become clearer, lighter, and more adaptable. Many people are surprised to find they feel stronger — not from forcing themselves to work harder, but from using themselves more effectively. Strength and resilience emerge naturally when your whole system works together.
Who Is This Series For?
People of all ages and experience levels. Whether you want to move more easily through daily life, support an active lifestyle, recover from physical strain, or simply feel more capable in your body, these lessons offer a gentle, practical path to greater strength and resilience.

What Previous Students Have Said
"These classes are wonderful. Your detailed description of how the whole musculoskeletal system is integrated gives me a better understanding of how human anatomy works. Not only does my hip feel better, but my lower back feels better, my spine is more flexible, and my whole being feels freer. Thank you!"
~Ed B
"This series was truly holistic. I experienced change in places I have been aware of for years--in almost every area of my body--but those places were not finding what they needed to facilitate change until these lessons."
~Kim Howard
"Thank you for creating such a series of interesting, extraordinary lessons. It seems to me that, in my 35 years as a practitioner, there are some movements I’ve never done before. I’m also very happy about your physiological and anatomical explanations."
~Barbara R
New to Feldenkrais?
Who are Feldenkrais lessons for?
They are for everyone. No previous experience is required. Feldenkrais lessons are flexible and used by people of all ages and abilities, for a wide range of reasons. If you have a brain and a body, Feldenkrais lessons are meant for you.
Why are they called lessons?
They're called ‘lessons’ instead of ‘exercises’ because your brain engages in a natural kind of learning when you do them. They use gentle movement and relaxed attention to stimulate new and better options for your physical comfort, movement, and more.
Why does this approach work?
Your brain is on the lookout for information that can help you, and Feldenkrais lessons give your brain what it's looking for: relevant sensory information, time to notice differences, and a chance to build new neural pathways for greater comfort and mobility.
